Your upload sites

What sites to you upload your tracks or mixes to?

I post to Mixcloud and House-mixes. Did one upload to Mixcrate but no more after that. I don't put mixes up on Soundcloud even though I have a profile there.

I mostly listen to mixes on Mixcloud and the occasional track on Soundcloud.

Like lots of people, I want to get my mixes (and in the future, my tracks) heard. Has anyone found other sites where they seem to get some traffic? There is such a deluge of mixes on these sites that I don't think anyone really manages to promote themselves on them, they only serve as a landing spot for people who are already known.

    What do you guys think?

Already do and it seems to get a lot of traffic, almost to the point it is hard to believe.

I thought the same within about an hour 30 people had listened to a mix of mine.

Just relying on Mixcloud to get your mixes heard doesn't really work IMO. In order to get noticed and to get your material out there your best bet is still to do a podcast for a specific blog with a wide audience / social media following.

Yeah, this is something I thought of today as there are some podcasts I follow that do put up guest listener mixes. Been making a list of some goals to achieve by September and others to achieve by Xmas. At least I'm more dedicated to this than I ever was at school or Uni all those years ago...
