Pag Island - Dublin. Which Airport?

    Hi,

Going interrailing in August but have to leave early.

What is the best way of flying home from Pag Island on Thurs 29th August? No direct flights from Zadar. Are there any nearby airports with direct flights? (in a different country, perhaps).

I could fly from Zadar to Brussels, 4 hour wait, Brussels to Dublin. Ryanair each flight, but there may be an easier way.

You need to give a little more detail in terms of your constraints. You have an interrail - if you have a global pass you can get to any airport you want. Or you can get the train home (or most of the way anyway). Is there a date before you can't/won't leave Pag? Do you have a global pass? This will impact the set of airports you can choose from.

Given that you can't fly direct and you already have a flight with only a 4 hour layover, I think you will be doing well to find a better option.

    Thanks for the answers.

I will have an interrail global pass, so can go to other airports.
I can leave Pag Island before the 29th if I want, but the 29th is the latest day I can leave.

I know Ryanair fly direct from Zadar to Dublin but the closest date they do is Tuesday 27th, and the flight leaves around 6.40am.

I'm not sure if there's an advantage of getting the train home? Might be an interesting way to do it, but I'll eventually need to fly the remainder of the distance.

Seems like you'd have a journey of 18-20 hours by train to get to any of Venice, Bratislava, Budapest or Vienna. Are there ferries across to Italy that are included on the inter-rail?

    Thanks for the answers.

Booked Zadar - Brussels Charleroi - Dublin in the end.

4 hour connection time which I reckon is a good amount - not too long to wait, but enough that there's a bit of leeway if the first flight is delayed.
