There is a guy that’s wants to trade a ferguson 35, rare "cold climate" model he says for my Massey 298 4wd tractor… my tractor is in very good order and all working perfect .. I am looking €6000.
His is in good condition too but looking €5500…
Anyone know much about these cold climate 35’s as seem to have heating plugs in the 4cyl engine to help them start
Says to me they are very rare and a collectors item.
What is one of them really worth as don’t see many for sale wouldn’t mind a small tractor but think its too dear

Its a 4cyl 35 with the glow plug modifacation done on it!! I would in me hole swap a 298 4WD for that yolk,You're yolk is a great all rounder tractor. Sell Your tractor and buy a 3cyl 35 (if ya really want one)

    Up to Yourself tho.

just looks like a 4cyl 35 with glow plugs in it. even if it was a rare cold climate model does not make it more valuable. people assume if its rare that it is more valuable, thats not always the case.

from that done deal ad it looks as if it was towed into that position with the digger, is it even running?

4 cylinder 35s had a poor starting reputation and it was common to see all sorts of mods to make them start easier, glow plugs is only one of them.

Prices of vintage tractors have taken a tumble recently too, a good restored mf 135 would struggle to bring 5500.

3 cylinder 35s are a much better tractor, but the 4 cylinders are a bit rarer.

To be perfectly honest, I would need 5000 cash along with the 35 for your 4wd. Never in a hundred years will he get 5500 for that thing.

Your tractor is probably rarer than his!

Stay clear of the 4 cyl 35. mates father has one and its a pig to get started. its worth more like 1000-1500.
