Firefox issue

When I first tried this morning to load Firefox 3.6.2.3 I got a page which indicated that Firefox is not compatible with my OS 10.4.11.

It was a somewhat sparse page and it invited to download a Firefox upgrade. That, however, did not seem to function and I still got the 'incompatible' message.

I then quit and re-booted Firefox and it worked fine.

I am interested in any observations. Was it a quirk, a scam, or something else?

Mozilla dropped support for Tiger a few years ago. Perhaps you inadvertently upgraded and it had to downgrade you.
