In the event of a zombie outbreak, what measures can a person legally take?

    (a) If they are disease-based zombies?
    (b) If they are necromancer-based zombies?

While of course, self defence could be used, could a pre-emptive self-defence be used legally to destroy otherwise passive zombies?

I suppose this would depend on whether a zombie is considered to be a human being or not. As they are deceased I don't think a self-defense claim would matter, and instead you could be charged with desecrating a corpse?

You can't kill something that is already dead. In a similar manner to AGs Reference No. 3, of 1994 - foetus no born, etc.

    Do what you will.

I would agree with the above posts but only in relation to necromancer-type zombies.

Diseased-type zombies exist at the moment but most people refer to them as junkies. You can't cull them just because of the harm they pose to society because they are still regarded as being alive, irrespective of their nature.

There are other comparable scourges on society that probably ought to be pre-emptively culled but there are some people out there who defend these "persons'" rights.
