Hi, our new chimney breast will house a wood burning inset stove. Its built with metal stud.
The timber mantle is quite heavy so I'm wondering if its an option to have a mantle at all in this case because there no block wall to attach it to?
Any advice on how to attach the mantle in our situation??

A Photo would help, But it will depend on the quality and structure of the Stud. You might be best to check with the Manufacturers as to what weights it can carry. You could also consider getting a lot of the mass removed from the Mantlepiece to reduce it's weight.
