Looking for suggestions of something fun for about 2k as a second bike.

Full license 6 years, and a multi bike policy already so insurance / power isn't an issue.

Prefer something naked/street, and willing to travel if it's decent.

most fun for 2k? trip to disneyland :))

bikewise? naked? 1200 bandit, 1000 fazer.. if power is not issue then deffo RSV 2001+ (but only for weekend spins)

if you dont mind age then some of the honda classics like cb1000 are the best...

if you looking for exact bike then check donedeal, adverts, + IBF, and Biker forums.

Have a BMW 1200GS at the moment.

Bandit is a nice option alright, and classics are definitely an option.

Bandit doesn't really do anything the GS won't.

If you don't want anything in particular I'd be saying spend the money on a trip away. 2 Grand will get you a long way!

middleweights would be worth a look. Big bikes are great, but it's nice to not have a behemoth to shove around: SV650S

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

I'd understand your argument if he were deciding between buying one or the other but he already has the GS. Its a lot cheaper to use your current bike than buy one because its cheap!

'Extremely fast' is relative. You can buy a quicker bike than a bandit for 2k if thats all you're after.

If budget allowed I'd have one of these for the grin factor or a husqvarna nuda.

The more I think about it, the more I'm interested in something middleweight, 95% of my riding is in the city, so something light with a bit of grunt would be nice.

Had a ktm 690sm as a second bike before and it was a hoot :D

I was also thinking of going italian, purely for the sound and grunt of the L twin.

    nice ST2:

    Or if I could haggle/stretch a monster 620:

what i wanna say its that GS is like warhorse --->thats why i sugested bandit, op mentioned naked and engine size no important so..---> it will cost you less then 2k and you will have different view - i mean sports riding position, strong engine, that will need very little atention, and relative cheap to run. so having said that it was only advice, no argument. you mentioned that bandit has nothing that GS cant offer and sorry i can only disagree with you at that point.

    thanks
