Anyone know anything about these receivers?

How do you get the channel list onto these receivers?

anyone around the galway area that knows a bit
about these things who has one of their own and
who's managed to set one up without too much difficulty?
I'd be grateful for any help...pm me even

    Bit of a learning curve.

You can FTP into the box using Dreamset.

Dreamset allows you to pick what satellites it downloads.

Alternatively you can download a bouquet. Green, Yellow, Add on Downloads Manager, Blackhole Settings, Catseye. Install. Reboot. (assuming you are using Blackhole)

Install OpenVix, do an automatic scan then config and run autobouquetsmaker in the same menu, then the same with crossepg under plugins.

There has been a lot of changes in the Sky frequencies recently, you might have to rescan your box to get all your channels back

The vu plus duo is a very good and very fast receiver. I've seen Vu Duo2 faster and not too bad in price(www.eurovux.com). The duo is on sale at the moment in many places ,so its the right time to buy it .

Please note saniry obviously works for Eurovux as has been pointed out in the vu solo2 thread. 5 posts in total in 3 years all promoting Eurovux. Would be very wary of this crowd. World of satellite in UK and Satkings.De are two I use most and both trustworthy. Also satellitetv. Ie are very trustworthy. Read around reviews before buying from strange sources.
Also on a side note the duo is very good but starting to get dated specs wise. Just got a duo 2 and have to say it's a superb box

    +1 for world of satellite

it's everything I expected from all the good reviews I've
    read and more

do either of you have an internal dvb c/t tuner installed in the duo 2 and does it pick up saorview? I keep seeing offers of 2 x dvb s/s2 and a dvb c/t tuner.

+1 on the above, Saniry is a blatant shill and as such I'd avoid eurovux.
I have used World of sat, satellitetv.ie, and hmsatshop.de and found all good honest and reliable sellers.
That said if you are buying a new unit now, there is much better hardware available than the original Duo.

I don't have one installed but don't see why it wouldn't as are same dvbt internal tuners as the ultimo and that works perfectly with saorview. That said I'm having issues with usb dvbt tuner but that's a totally different issue

Hey mailburner, I have a Vu+ Duo for about 3 years. I'm based in East Galway.
Feel free to shoot me any questions you have I might be able to help out..

    Hi Guys

Sorry if the question seems stupid but I bought a Vu+duo last week with the latest blackhole image on it. All of the streams work ok but nothing is showing up on the bouquet channel list I have loaded. How do you set up the satellite?

I just moved house and there was a satellite and cable left there but after plugging this into the duo I still cant get any FTA channels at all. does a card need to be installed or have I set this up wrong?

    Any help would be great

    Cheers
