I'm sorry if this has been posted all ready, but setanta is now going to be 5 channels. Setanta Ireland, Setanta sports1, BTsports1, BTsport2 and espn.

I wonder if they will want more money?

The BT ones are certainly HD, and available now in Other Channels.

Yeah I know m8, just making sure they'll be available on Setanta.

Bit amateur they didn't mention that.

Is it definite that the HD variants of BT Sport would be available on the Setanta Pack though?

Maybe you would still need Sky's HD Mix?

No BT is nothing to do with Sky, I just mean will a sub to Setanta open the HD channels?

I know BT is nothing to do with Sky, however I'd be concerned that Setanta didn't push the fact that there would be sports in HD etc. Surely having some HD sports channels in their portfolio would be worth bragging about, since HD is kinda a popuplar buzzword with regards sports TV coverage.

My mention of needing Sky's HD mix was merely me thinking out loud.

it is slightly worrying though that they failed to mention it, we shall see I suppose

Good move for Setanta and BT for the Irish market, hope they get the HD Setanta channels sorted.
