    I hear ya, sister :l

I have no idea, but you should think about signing up to the Gaelchultur summer course if it's not too late now (it starts in two days, Wednesday evening). They specifically prepare you for the Irish section.

Hi I will also be doing the interview in the next few weeks, I have looked everywhere for sample questions from people who have done the interview this year but have found very little, this thread seems to be the most useful so far, it gives a good few sample questions and I doubt they change much from year to year http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showt...p?t=2055646065. Good luck with the interview

Good look with your interview :) There's lots of discussion about the interviews and questions on educationposts.ie You need to create an account to view the message boards but it's well worth it

I have an interview next Wednesday. 10 th July. There is quite good info on educationposts.ie.. Click on forums.. Some common questions .. Why hibernia, IT skills, importance of planning in the classroom, dealing with difficult children, if there was one place left why you should get it, skills I could bring to the classroom..
Feeling nervous now.. Wish it was over.. 😄

Sorry, only saw your post now. It's in Clare's Street (end of Grafton if you're coming from Stephen's green, turn right, end of that road around the national gallery)

    Hi MM

Had my interview yesterday eve, and received email today confirming I was successful, pending my LC irish results of course! I'm thrilled & anxious at the same time, as I'm currently an SNA and I'm not sure if I will be able to take a career break or not.
The irish was ok, I was asked,
    How I got there
What I had for my lunch
    Where I am from
What are the facilities like in my area
What will I do after my interview
    What my hobbies are
If I had a lot of money, what would I do
How I prepared for the interview
Why I want to be a teacher
Do I like my job as an SNA
What nice things I have seen in the classroom
I hope these help. The interviewers are very nice, and put you at ease. The minute I went in I started rambling on about the weather, this calmed me down!
    Best of luck! 😄
