    maybe im wrong but someone told me yesterday that if you have a provisional license you could drive say you parents car as long as you have an accomanied driver, but i thought you had to have special insurance do you not

    You need to be a named driver on your parents insurance policy. Additionally the accompanying driver need to have their full B Licence for two years. Don't forget your L plates.
