Diesel Passat - Parking Brake Fault - Engine Management Fault

    Fault after occuring with 08 Passat. Parking Brake Light came on after taking off on my journey today, even though no obvious resistance to driving car. Then the engine management light came on, drove the car home in "get me home mode". Re-started with no errors present, so set out on journey again, happened again after 6 miles. Parking Brake Fault, followed by Engine Management Fault. Any ideas?

    Its either a faulty parking brake switch or caliper. You need to get it scanned firstly. I had a similar problem on mine, but had no engine management light and I got it scanned and replaced the switch. It was a cheap and simple fix luckily enough.
