I am unaware of said individual and intend to actively strive to remain so.

Also I hope he dies of cancer.

He's good at rockabilly and his jump stuff.

Shame on the others on here not knowing who he is. Look up the Stray Cats.

Possibly, but that's a big call.

Cliff Gallup, Johnny Marr, Scotty Moore, Poison Ivy Rorschach (for style, not skill), Bert Jansch and Ry Cooder be up there for me! Brian Setzer is good, but not gritty enough for my liking in rockabilly, don't find him as interesting with regards to all music as the aforementioned!

    Frank Zappa.

This is disputed but the Legend goes that an interviewer asked Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock how does it feel to be the greatest guitar player in the world and his answer was go ask Rory Gallagher.

It was recorded in Rolling Stone magazine at the time as fact. Jimi was obviously one of the greats and he may have been only passing on a complement to a friend. He was a very humble individual by all accounts. Obviously music is also entirely subjective so we all have our own opinions. It's a question which can't be answered.

He actually said Roy Buchanan, not Rory.

With that said, I am a huge Rory Gallagher fan.

    .

I've heard that before and I was expecting someone to mention it. I still think Jimi was the greatest though.
