    Hi,

Has anyone claimed a redundancy payment from social welfare because their employer could not afford to pay it.

Do you know how long it takes?

    Thanks

I was made redundant end of August 2012 and received redundancy money November 2012, back pay/holiday/ notice of leave took longer, 6 months.

If your company cannot pay the redundancy you complete a form called RP50 form and you and your employer sign it and send it to the redundancy section in Department of Social Protection. They pay your statutory entitlement to you then. If you need update of claim or anything about redundancy phone 01 6734524. They can help you
