    Draft Policy

    In accordance with EU Directive 2001/42/EC and the European Communities (Environmental Assessment of Certain Plans and Programme) Regulations 2004 (SI 435 of 2004), the Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine is carrying out a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of the Draft Forest Policy Review Report. Information on the SEA process, together with the Draft Forest Policy Review Report and the accompanying Environmental Report is available at www.agriculture.gov.ie

    A public consultation on the Draft Forest Policy Review and the Environmental Report is now being carried out as part of the SEA process.

    Please note

    a) a copy of the Draft report and the associated Environmental Report may also be inspected at the Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine, Agriculture House, Kildare Street, Dublin 2, between the hours of 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday for a period of eight weeks from the date of this Notice

    and

    b) a written submission or observation with respect to the draft report and associated environmental report made to the competent authority (the Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine), within the period referred to in paragraph (a) will be taken into consideration before the finalisation of the draft report.

    Submissions are invited from members of the public and interested organisations by 12 noon Friday 23 August 2013. Submissions should be forwarded to: Ms Orla Cashen, Forest Sector Development Division, Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine, 3 West, Agriculture House, Kildare Street Dublin 2.
