Shimano chainbreaker on campag chain?

    Before I start.... will a shimano chainbreaker work fine on a campag 10spd chain?

    is a chain breaker not just a chain breaker? how are they brand specific? god be with the days I used a hammer, nail and a nut....

    Yeah, just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to end up with a mangled chain stuck on the bike!

    D!armu!d - you need to be careful as the outer chain link needs to be properly supported as you drive the rivet and not all riveting tools do this, regardless of manufacturer (although the Campag- made tool does, obviously).

    Remember that You can't simply rejoin a Campag chain by re-using the same rivet (old skool fashion) you need, for a reliable join, to use Campag part number CN-RE100 or you need to use a suitable quick link (KMC, Connex).
