    Question from Ennis.
I have one of the new Fibre boxes located about 200 meters from my home.
The box has been activated but unfortunately my phone line is connect to a box different box over 1 KM away. This was confirmed by an Eircom engineer who kindly checked it for me.
Is it possible to have my phone connection moved to the box which is nearest to my location. The engineer who checked it for me was actually working on the local fibre box and commented he did not understand why my line was connect to a different location. He said it was probably because we were one of the original houses and had been there from the start and therefore connect to an old location.
Anyone know if its possible to have the connection moved in order to avail of the new service. ?
    Thanks

Seems unlikely you can do anything about this. Your cable run just happens to go to a different junction box so unless you get somebody to dig up your cable and reroute it via ducting to the new cabinet you are out of luck. Do you have a politician living on your street, a backhander might be the only way ;)

If you ask for a new line to be installed in the house, as a secondary one, would that work?
