I have checked in my outbound flight for a flight tomorrow morning. Is it possible to check in Sunday's return flight today?

you can do it with ryanair for something like 6euros per leg that you have no option but to pay

Incorrect. Ryan Air let you check in inward and outward in one sitting, for free.

You pay for the online check-in for ryanair when you book the flights...

Just another reason why Ryanair is a superior airline. Yes, they do allow you to check in up to 14 days in advance.

That's not really the same. It's a non-optional upfront payment. No surprises.

    nope,
just did a trial booking for a weekend in september and zero taxes and fees but SEVEN euro each way for online checkin in

    or to quote Ryanair:
    Web Check in: 7.00 EUR

On topic...i think you can check in a return flight with aer lingus 3 days in advance...you could always use the self service desks in the airport when you arrive for the flight which are free also.

    indeed,
superior because they charge for something automatically that you can opt to do for free with airlingus 30hours before the flight or at the airport

For me free is better than 14euro enforced online checkin charge by Ryanair

It's effectively built into the Ryanair headline fare. Maybe some people go through each component of the fare and add it all up with their pocket calculator to make sure the total is correct when booking. I don't.

so if Aerlingus just added the 6euro each way (or whetever it is for advanced checkin) to their fare automatically then they would be a better more customer friendly airline!

    grand so!

Sorry dude, you're right. I hadn't realised they charged. So they get you to check in online to save them having staff, yet still charge you for saving them money.

No, because that would represent even worse value than they currently offer. Ryanair's offering including their mandatory fees are usually far superior value to Aer Lingus. Hence why I have flown Aer Lingus twice in the past two years, when I've flown dozens of times on Ryanair and CityJet.
