Cleaning the floor

All linoleum is pitted to a degree but I recently purchased a house with the kind of lino that has the smallest pits and is the kind that all sorts of dirt gets stuck to. Kids walking around has seen this lino get very dirty very quickly and as hard as I try, I just can get the dirt to lift. I've tried mopping every day hoping that it will get better ad time goes on but no. I've used bleach, boiling water, everything I can think of. Anybody got any tips???

Any chance your lino hasn't been sealed properly, or (worse again) the dirt has been sealed in?

If you can get a loan of a wet vacuum cleaner it might be better than a mop. Imo a mop just pushes dirt around, whereas a wet vacuum cleaner will lift the dirty water away.

Well I also heard about some machines which are really good to clean the floors but also very expensive. Guys do you know any good machine which is not much expensive and also helpful for cleaning the laminated floors.
