You can do it abroad, some business actually interview over skype through the intra office. But if you want to setup your own contact you can too I think you then present this to the intra office and they will check it out if its viable enough for your degree by discussing it with your lecturers. Just go and ask in the INTRA office but I know a few people in engineering that have done this.
