    Hi,

I just renewed my GUI membership yesterday with a different club and have received my new GUI number by email. I haven't yet received a card. I've booked into an open tomorrow. 2 questions:

    1. Can I play the open using just the number? I haven't been able to register it on golfnet due to not having the last 3 digits on the card.

    2. Is it correct that I get a new GUI number as opposed to a continuation of my previous number?

You will definitely get a new number anyway because the first 4 digits refer to your home club. Not sure about the open but I would enter the number as opposed to swiping the card.

    Thanks for the info. :)
