Anybody know why the 3 "speed" ramps were removed yesterday evening from the road between Castlegrange and Latchford here?

Thats a bit out of the blue

Could be a number of reasons. Phibblestown Road used to be an unnamed access road for those few estates with no bus route, now it has 8 or 10 buses an hour passing along it. Dublin Bus always campaign against ramps along their routes so they might have put pressure on

These ramps were originally installed by the developer at that location before the road was taken over by FingalCoCo, the spec of the ramps might not have met the design requirements for speed control measures and had to be removed

Wish they'd remove the ramps at Rathborne on the River Road, they're bloody awful things -even at 20kph it's like hitting a small wall.

I'd say that is probably the correct reason - it was unusual to have such steep ramps on a busy bus route.
