Cancelling a direct debit online

    Hi,

    I cancelled a monthly direct debit via internet banking. The yearly membership is due to expire and I never received a letter re extending it.

    Does anyone know if I have the contact the originator as well? Can the originator continue to take the monthly direct debit even though I have cancelled the direct debit online?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Usually you have to cancel with the originator or else they till over the contact. Send a letter to them.
