how many turns of net should go on a bale . my contractor only puts 3 even though the bales have to be transported a mile for wrapping. This evening they are sagging because they are loose. the old way of using twine gave a more secure bale.

Well it all depends on whats in the bale. 3 would be about normal on a silage bale I suppose. If the silage were wet then it would probably want a little more.

I'd suggest they are loose because he is not packing the bale and not for lack of net , 3 layers is plenty.Been through this with my own contractor with wrapped bales splitting on the handler, and he was adamant that he was packing the bale and suggested the handler as wrong, the grass was short, the sun was strong affecting the plastic, heard all the excuses, but he found a miracle cure when I finally got mad and told him the next soft bale would be his last . Felt like running him outta the place anyway.
I'm finding I get no value for diplomacy and great value for a throwing a few fu*k's instead.

we use 1.5 turns only, but that's with a fusion so they're wrapped before they hit the ground

as tim says think you need to have a chat with the contractor

That's what the boys in Anglo Irish did, with the government and the central bank.
Didn't bother with any soft diplomacy. Just fu-cked and blinded all round them, and walked away with billions:eek:
