    Hi lads,

Back again, Would opting for 8 OZ Vertex drives in raid 0 using the asus extreme 11 mobo be good for speed considering it allows full use of 8 ssd runing in raid o using its on board lsi controller??

If you are talking about the asrock extreme 11 board then it is better to get intel ssd's as they are the only ones that seem to perform anywhere decent with them.
I would recommend getting a proper raid card for that many drives though as you will definitely lose performance with the onboard raid.
