    Hi Moonfish

welcome to the wonderful and sometimes gruelling world of cycling. You can get a strava cycling app for your phone but i dont use one but many folks on here do so they might be able to help ya out. As for cycling routes.. try phoenix park if your starting out and live in the city centre, the cycle out to howth is also a nice spin, after that you could head out through blanch to clonee and do a loop of ratoath skyrne dunsany summerhill dunboyne maynooth etc, or head out to rathfarnham and hit the mountains ( id leave this til your used to hills) check on Boards for routes eg Howth route.. Also best way to find routes is to join a club, they all have beginners groups and you will notice your fitness and bike skills improving alot .

I started cycling in January and have mapped around 20 routes on Map my Ride from about 45 k to 100 km's. I've attached one below. If you look at this one you should than be able to see the rest of the routes I have created. If you are having trouble viewing it let me know. Unfortunately they all start and finish in Ratoath because that is where I live but they will give you an idea.
