Digi 8 camcorder to DVD

    Hi,
    Just wondering does anyone know any bricks and mortar shop in the southeast where I can get a digi8 camcorder tape transferred to DVD?
    I know there are some places that you send it away to but because the camcorder hasn't worked for years I am not even sure if there is anything on the tape so don't want to fork out €25 or €30 and have nothing back.
    I have asked Sherwoods in Kilkenny and they will take a look at the tape without charging and then do it if I can get a working digi 8 camcorder which probably isn't an easy or cheap task.
    Any help gratefully appreciated.
