Hi everybody, I'm due to start a stages translation internship in the European Commission in October so I'm just wondering if anybody on here has done one before, how they got on, if they'd have any advice, and if they felt it was worth while.

Of particular interest to me is the money aspect. How much money did you need to set yourself up over there with a room etc (as I'm living it up on the dole at the moment my budget will be fairly minimal) and how long it was til you got your first monthly allowance.
