Bought a car recently that had just been given a very quick poor detail and there's that dried in white substance on the window seals and the black underside of the mirrors.

What's the best way too remove this?

Try using isopropyl alcohol wipes, a pencil rubber or degreaser.

    Things to try.....
APC and agitate with a toothbrush
    A rubber/eraser
IPA - should be able to get a small bottle in a chemist

Never used these before, but have seen some people say it works...
Smooth Peanut Butter - though I'd say that will mask it more than anything.
    Autoglym Fast Glass

If its anything like this Polish guy then you might be in trouble. I'd suggest making sure their feet dont get stuck under the flippers like that for a start.
