Question about the Cooltek Antiphon Black, ohne Netzteil

    Hello,
I just bought the "Cooltek Antiphon Black, ohne Netzteil" and all my components arrived yesterday.
The problem I have now is, I have no idea where to plug in to get the internal fans to work. I can see that there's one cable left over but I don't know what kind of connector it is or where to plug it. It looks like the connectors that is labelled HDD/DVD but it doesn't fit and rather than being round it's squared and it has two sides

The motherboard I am using is the ASRock 970 Extreme4, AM3+, ATX

Anyone that could give me some advice?

What kind of connectors do they have? 3 pin, 4 pin? Is there a fan controller/splitter on the case?

It has 4 pins and the fans connect to something inside the case.

4 pins? That would connect to 4 pin connectors on the motherboard.

Since I can't see any 4 pin connector on the overview on the board I suppose I'll need to buy something?

I'm pretty sure that case has. Fan controller.

Check out the manual. You shouldn't need to buy anything extra for stuff that comes with the case.

"The fan controller is powered by a 4-pin molex connector that is connected directly to the power supply. The fans are connected to the 3 pin molex connectors"
I got a EPS connector with the case, but I used that and plugged it into the 8 pin CPU power connector, am I doing it wrong?

Forget about the EPS. That's or the CPU.

You should have 3 pin molex connectors on your PSU.

That's the PSU I'm using, I don't see 3 pin molex connector in the output connectors

It's a 4 pin molex. The power supply has 2 of those. You should be able to connect it to one of those.

    Hello,

    I recently got this case and I can confirm that the connectors are as follows;

1x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0, system panel connectors, HD audio connector : Plug into motherboard

The three fans are connected to a 4-pin molex adaptor as BloodBath said. Now my PSU won't has no molex output sockets but I had another adaptor (a few of them came with my PSU) that accepted the molex and connected to the PSU (via one of the many 5-pin outputs, don't know the name, sorry) speed is changed using a physical switch on the case (this is how I had to connect my optical drive in my last machine). Works great.

I've found the case to be extremely quiet and very neat. Just a warning though, it will not fit large CPU coolers. I got a Dark Rock 2 which was about 1.5cm too tall and I couldn't close the case. A Hyper 212 Evo is about 1cm shorter and may fit with a bit of a squeeze. I'm new to overclocking but I didn't want to risk squeezing this in as I felt vervous about that putting that kind of extra downward pressure on the CPU (the cooler mount standoffs probably take most of this though?). I'm running the stock cooler at the moment and am waiting for delivery of a Hyper TX3 Evo. I know it's not as good a cooler but it should be enough for some moderate OCing?

Speaking of case fans.. I ordered a second hand fan off eBay and it arrived yesterday.

I have no other case fans except this one (It's an old computer). Should it be running as an exhaust or an intake? Temperatures didn't change at all. CPU is running ~50c when idle. GPU at 40+.

Again this is an old computer running an AMD Athlon 64 4000+ and some 1GB Nvidia cheap card with no PCB.
