Told to move

Have just received a letter telling us we cannot be housed under RAS as we're over accommodated. There's four of us in a 3 bed house. I have seen this in the council guidelines and already knew it.

The issue now is, we now have to move from the house we've lived in with our kids for the last 3 years and find somewhere smaller to rent. If we move in there and the landlord doesn't want to accept the RAS scheme, we'll have to move again and again and again. If it was just myself moving it wouldn't be such a big deal, but there's little alternative accommodation in the area where we are, meaning we'd be taking the kids from their schools to suit the council even though the rent allowance deems a 3 bed house suitable for our needs.

Stressed out after getting this letter and hoping someone knows of an alternative to having to move home repeatedly.
