    HI

where is the best place both for service and price to get an audi serviced in cork. I only know of blackwater motors but surely there is other good reputable garages. Thanks

Autowerks Midelton for VAGs, although any competent mechanic will do it just fine.

Thanks for that muppetcheck. You'd think any competent mechanic would do it just fine but I recently went to a garage that claims to do all makes and models and they had no idea how to replace the fly wheel in the new model of the A4 and it took them 3 days and they charged me for the full 3 days labour. So wasn't too impressed that I had to pay for there on the job training as such (they admitted they had to ring a dealer after 2 days to find out how to fix it, among other things) so looking for a garage that people have experience with. Thanks so much

I certainly wouldn't be using that garage again. I wouldn't have paid them for time wasted trying to figure it out either!

autowerks are good but expensive. stephen in precision is good and very reasonable he's in mayfield. to be honest i always found blackwater in fermoy good and prices are decent for a main dealer. really depends where you live and if having a main dealer stamp matters to you.

how much wer you charged for flywheel replacement and what engine?

I got charged 1700 for parts and labour ( I have the new model and they claim its much harder to get at than the older models). They said they would look after us and the bill didn't include the charge for the service so I thought they did and paid it until 2 months later when back in for something else the accounts lady produced the bill. Needless to say it didn't go down to well. Have had other issues with them unable to fix things so avoiding them like the plague. Just got a quote from blackwater motors and it doesn't seem to bad.

Sorry edited to say, its a 2.0 TDI

You could try Mick Kelly on Pouladuff Road.

He's a good indie,,and has vast experience of the VAG engines.
