SKY recording when there are 2 scheduled recordings.

I used to recall that if I wanted to record a program and there was a clash, a banner would alert me and give a choice of which of the 2 scheduled recordings to delete.

Now it is only giving me 1 program option. Anyone notice this? since when? Fixes?

Have you Sky Plus with dual cabling from your dish?

    Sure have.

I've tried it again to test. I have 2 channels (401 and 404) recording and the I want to record another program (405). I get a clash screen and in order to record my new program, it informs me than one of the recordings (404) will be cancelled.

Why did I not get the option to stop channel 401 from recording? I used to get an option before ( say 1 year ago) but now I don't.

Or is it something specific to the HD boxes rather than the standard?

If you have an Ipad then the Sky + App does exactly what you want. It will also alert you to upcoming clashes and allow you to resolve them.

I had this the other day - if you press back up you cancel viewing on the current channel but I also had the option to cancel either of my recordings - maybe try a system software update.

A software update won't delete recordings but if you do a new install on the box it will.

The software update instructions are here:
