Hi I am in Dublin and having trouble finding anywhere that will make the old style classic black back ground with silver writing for my 1985 BMW.

Any places you know of and what sort of price thanks.

Make sure you get plates with large digits...if you want the correct
period look. A lot of Irish classics have plates with small (i.e. modern style
    ...crap looking) digits.

The classic plates supplied by eireplates dont look right and I never remember plates with that font. The autojumbler plates are the correct ones.

I kinda have to agree. The modern plates supplied by eireplates also come with the small/wrong type of 'dashes' between the numbers and letters, and look 'gappy' as a result, e.g. '95 - KE - 123' as opposed to the correct spacing: '95-KE-123'.

(Trade Plates (i.e. officially made plates) are a good template for anybody looking at how to correctly space out modern reg plates)

I don't think either are correct.

They were large flat digits with sharp corners and edges.

I like the modern black/silver because the numbers are smaller so that part I like as not as easy to make out:D

The original type you will be paying around €50 and possibly a bit more they have raised digits that are sort of 3d effect > like this symbol they start at the edge small and peak at the centre.
