Hello All. I'm in Canada on my first year IEC visa which will expire on the 10th of August. My second IEC visa for an additional 2 years has been approved, LOI received. I am on a job that will be finishing on August 18th, I would then fly home for a few weeks on the 19th. Does anyone know if doing this would be allowed or…

Hello All.

I'm in Canada on my first year IEC visa which will expire on the 10th of August.
My second IEC visa for an additional 2 years has been approved, LOI received.

I am on a job that will be finishing on August 18th, I would then fly home for a few weeks on the 19th.

Does anyone know if doing this would be allowed or tollerated, or should I just fly home on the 10th avoiding any risk.

Can you skip down to America on the 10th for the day, come back that evening and activate the new Visa on your return?
