Who is nervous? I am waiting on the results of just two modules (part time post grad student), one of them should be fine but the other is very iffy :o so the results can't come quickly enough at this stage. Any ideas if the results will be out early tonight as in previous years?

Does anybody know where we get them, there is usually a link on the home page and an email sent around by now.

    Good luck all.

Im waiting on my results for part-time study too.

This is my first year getting "summer" results so I dont know when exactly they will be up. Back in Feb, I think they were up around mid-day ?

    Good luck to all !

PS - Im showing my age here but I remember back in "my youth" getting the results by post for my undergrad course. Hours of standing by the window waiting patiently for the postman to arrive :)

I don't know exactly what time they appeared at in Feb but when I woke up (around 9am), I checked mine and they were there. Hoping it's similar tomorrow - the wait is a killer :(

I've set up a change notification thing on the results webpage so when it changes I'll get an email ... Now, we wait!

Here you go, just go to http://www.changedetection.com/ and enter your email address and the website you want to monitor. So useful for lots of things ;)

I was kind of hoping that maybe they'd have it set to change at midnight, but then again it is ISS. Thanks!

    Well done all.

Can anyone explain the pass credit distinction to me - this is just 3,2,1 right?

    In my handbook it says:

    70-100% = Distinction
    60-69% = Credit
    40-59% = Pass
    0-39% = Fail

Thanks. Credit will have to do.

Final year for me, it says 2:1 overall, not sure if they just mean for second semester exams or my degree. But I had a 2:1 average before these so it seems a 2:1.

    Good stuff.

Can anyone answer this for me.

I failed three exams throughout the year, I got above 35 in all of them. I'm very surprised about one of them so I'm going to consult with my lecturer, if I find anything wrong with, I'll appeal it.

Here's the question anyway, if my appeal is successful and I get a pass, could the decision on the other two be changed? Whereby I can pass them by compensation?

They're both 5 credit modules and I did well in every other module.

As far as i'm aware pass by compensation can be done for one module not 3!

I'm sure you can compensate 10 credits. I'm not on about compensating the three of them, just two, if (that's a big if) an appeal was successful.

Compensation refers to using your other good marks in other subjects to compensate it, in this case 3 five credit fails does not compensate two bad results (not even sure if it compensates one).

MacConmheadha is saying that if he appeals one of the modules and passes he will therefore only have failed two. He is wondering can he pass by compensation then or is it too late.

The easiest thing to do is email registry or the students union and ask.
