06 Mini Cooper Warning Lights

The ABS light and the tyre pressure indicator keep coming on in my gf's mini. They reset when the engine is switched off but reappear when driving, although not every time the car is driven.

Any suggestions on whether it's serious or not or could it just be a sensor issue, is this a known problem?

Could well be a sensor on one of the wheels or the ABS/traction control module itself Only real way to find out is have the fault codes read.

Have you checked the tyre pressures? Does the car have run flats?

And remember to reset the sensor after checking the pressures.

Just after she got the car the tyre pressure warning light came on but I pumped the tyres and reset it, that was a few months ago and no issues until recently. Also that time turning the engine off didn't reset the indicator, I had to do it by holding the button down etc. but i'll check the pressures again anyway. No run flats.

Hey just to let you no I deal with minis daily and there are 3 possible problems 1 is the wheel bearing. (Common)
2 is the wiring out of the abs module another common fault
And 3 is the abs sensor all of witch are quite common and will cause this problem for you.
I actually had two minis in this week one was a bearing and the other was damaged wiring. Feel free to ask for more info if u wish

Hey thanks, what's the best course of action then just bring it into a garage and get it checked out? Recommend a good one in the Dublin area?:)
