Did this setup ever work right? How many satellites were you getting before you moved the dish?

By 'the freeview', do you mean all the free-to-air channels across all the different satellites on the arc visible to your dish?

Yes the arc is visible to my dish. Nothing is blocking the view.

Yes, but did the dish track the arc properly & get a good signal from all the satellites you would expect to get in Ireland with iirc a 1.1m dish?

Here & in a previous thread, you mention the Astra satellites @ 28 degrees east, as if that is all you managed to receive.

I have spent 20 years trying to get the arc correctly set. Hope you have more success, and quicker.

Are you still trying? Might as well get some value out of this thread.

i download an app and figure how to get it to aline perfect. have picked up all the free to air. have not set up the motor fully yet. just try to get the free to air. as there is a few thing that i need to fix before i to that. just used my android phone and a lot of patience. i got it and understand it more. but still learning.

So you're not even using the motor? Why start a thread looking for help setting up a motor if you're just going to park it on 28 degrees east?

Your dead right. I did have the arc quite good at some stage but soon after the motor failed and had to be replaced. Im still working on it.
