Chain came off today mangled the plate inside chain rings and took some lumps out of what I hope is just the paint.

I could do with some advice. Is it just paint? Are those metal plates available as a spare or should I just straighten it out as best I can (its rubbing slightly ATM)?

    Couple of large photos attached.

Looks fairly cosmetic. Deep enough, but I wouldn't say a write-off.

However, I'd bring it to a shop just to be sure. Someone who knows their stuff, preferably. And keep an eye on it.

Its fooked. I will take it off yer hands for €50.

    nah joking.
Looks like a deep cosmetic sctratch. As Dirk says just keep and eye on it.
Its prob the stiffest/strongest part of the frame.
