    Hi,

I was just wondering if anybody has any knowledge regarding the college boxing competition held every Feb in the national stadium.

I heard somewhere that you can enter once you have not exceeded 10 fights at amatuer level.

I had 5 fights recorded in my book as an amatuer, and as I am going to college in September I was wondering if I entered this tournament would I be stopped from fighting in it if for example it took more than 5 fights to reach the final?

I dont know but, i would presume you would be regarded as a novice at the start of the tournament.

The Intervarsity Championships are organized by us, The Irish Amateur Third-level Boxing Association (IATBA). The novice category is up to 5 bouts, intermediate is 6-15 bouts and senior is 16+ bouts. If you've any further questions about student boxing, reply or send us a PM.
