I do, on a Trek 7.5 fx. I'm pretty sure it's these ones -I just asked the bike store to fit mud-guards when I ordered the bike but I think these are the ones. http://www.thinkbike.ie/bike_shop/REFLECTOR_GUARDS.aspx .

Not sure that that means much for whether you can do it on your bike though!

thanks. i think that the trek has linear brakes, which are different. the cable in v brakes runs across the fork so creates clearance issues.

I'm pretty sure the Trek has V-brakes. They are linear pull but according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bicycle_brake#V-brakes 'V-brakes' is just the Shimano trademark name for them - like hoover and vacumn.

sorry, thanks. theyre exactly the ones i have.....and no issues with the mudguards? i had mountain bike type mudguards last winter and the salt (on the roads in the us) destroyed the brakes so need better mudguards this season

SKS mudguards working well on the bike I have with V-brakes. Get the right size for your tyres. If you can't figure out if you've enough clearance for the guards I'm sure a LBS will help you.

No issues at all. They go below the pull cable/noodle part and above the brake-pads, so the v-brake blocks contact the rim well below them and the arms move either side of them but the arms are further apart than the width of the mud-guards so it's fine.

Kind of hard to describe but the mud-guard just runs through the gap between the v-brake arms with no issues.

I've attached a photo showing them mounted
