....OK, my S.O. used to have a DR200 Trojan -and through lack of use, didn't keep it and sold it.

Now that our 2 x kids are on bikes..........she wants to get one. Which is impossible, as it's a Australia/NZ market bike only..........pity.

I have a GasGas Pampera 250, and she fell off it on Sunday, in the driveway, trying to get off it - it's just way, way too high. Found it very hard to get it off the side stand as well.

But everything is bloody high afaik - no-one makes a 'soft roader' style of trail bike except the Chinese, and I ain't doing that.

So, thought I'd sorted it when i came across a couple of XL125's, but the guy just texted me the seat height is 34 inches........so back to the start again.

I trawled DD and other sites from one end to the other, and cannot think of anything - even a Honda CRF150 is bloody huge.

We just got rid of an old DT175 twin shock which was the perfect size, but the bike was too old, and needed too much work. Prefer something more modern, 4-stroke and maybe electric start and road-legal capable.

I saw VanVan 125's but don't know anything about them.

    Ideas ?

I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Hard to beat the XT 225, pretty rare bikes TBH.
less than 32" seat height should make it pretty handy to manouvre

the tw's were super cheap new - think 2.8-3k, but not been sold for years now, just to bare in mind. Quality of finish is fairly suspect on them as a result, but engine is solid enough

I have seen the occasional one on DD usually in the classic 80's favourite scheme of white/mint/pink.
