Adding a Boost Timer to Immersion

    Hey all,

I have a standard 2 element immersion currently fitted with a on/off - bath/sink switch. Ideally I'd like to add a boost timer to heat the water enough to wash the dishes during the summer.

I plan on getting a boost timer fitted just before the immersion switch (similar to a mechanical timer). In theory this would allow me to leave the immersion switch permanently set to On / Sink, with an option to switch to Bath if I required and use the Boost timer to power it on.

The majority of boost timers I've looked at are rated for 13A (eg. Horstmann E15), are these safe to use in the method described?

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Cheers,
    T
