    Fourball betterball.

Players can be of any handicap, but the difference between the two partnerss must not be greater than 8 (i,e, a 10 and an 18 could play together, but not a 9 and an 18)

I believe when it comes to the matches, the low man goes to a handicap of scratch and the rest of the players play off 3/4 of the difference :)

Was annoyed I didn't get picked for my club team, in my last 7 competitions I've had a win, 2 thirds, 2 fourths, a tenth and an unmentionable. My pal won one comp and one second and got asked, too much of a click here.

Looks like a good comp tho.

I must admit i was little disappointed that I didnt get asked to play myself. My regular playing partner for 4balls and 4somes was asked aswell and put with a fella he doesnt know and hasnt played with before...

.. but thats the way it goes sometimes :)

With the JoS it can be down to the handicap ranges so putting a team together isnt necessarily the best just putting the best guys out.
Its also a good opportunity to get guys who have either missed out on teams or to give new guys an exposure to team golf

if its matchplay then you can practice on the course on the same day, if its stroke then you cannot. But the committee can make a rule that prohibits it so just make sure beforehand.
