If you select personal it skips you straight to the code. (Might do similar if you pick business)

    Seems to work. Thanks op!

worked perfectly for me and no need for credit card details etc. Its only 1.99 normally and you can use forwarding for web or email.
Be careful with info entered though as it can appear on WHOIS so might want to use work or something

You can try using ParcelMotel for the address, phone number just use a spare number and email use Whois@YourDomainName.EU

Good idea with the email. Seems they hide whois for .eu names

Don't be surprised if they bump the price for renewal this time next year, can recommend bookmyname and namecheap for renewal.

Seems like you can use the same code more than once too.
I wonder did everyone get the same code.

    My code starts with ABCG....
Can anyone guess the last 4 digits?

    Sweet, thanks OP!
Was planning on buying another random domain recently, for testing - handy. :)

Thanks for that. I registered www.bidadi.eu

I registered a domain earlier this morning, changed the nameservers straight away and still not seeing the changes applied, but their parked domain page. On their control panel doesn't show at all the new nameservers, not even "pending".

For free? Sweet, thanks! But after this experience and their not-so-great control panel I'd never use them for serious stuff.

    Cheers OP!

Dreadful company, awful service. But, heck, a free domain!
Bargain of the week, month, and possibly one of the year.

    OP, you rock!

Thanks a million OP! Usually use blogger, but always wanted a domain!

No, it usually costs more, but they were discounted. Then, with the voucher, they were free.

got the domain, but cant do anything with it! Seems to cost a few quid to transfer to another hosting account which I have so its useless at this point. Any quick tip to get the domain over to my blacknight free?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,411 ✭✭✭StaticNoise

In Blacknight's control panel, on the bottom left, click HOSTED DOMAINS, and add the registered one to the account. From there, add hosting (Apache) in the usual way from the WEBSITES tab.

In the Register365 administration panel, click the domain, and on the right, MANAGE DNS, and then CHANGE NAMESERVERS. Point them to:

    ns1.blacknight.com
    ns2.blacknight.com

Done. I've three working this way. It'll point the new domains to the Blacknight hosting.
