Hi just looking for some advice - I have been a sahm since jan 2012 - I never made any claims as I wasn't looking for work at the time but have started looking over last two months but nothing so far -just wondering is it to late to claim jobseeker benefit now as we won't qualify for jobseeker assistance - thanks

If I am correct in thinking sahm=stay at home mother you may have some difficulty with rules for JSB.

Be available for and genuinely seeking work, from here http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/social_welfare/social_welfare_payments/unemployed_people/jobseekers_benefit.html

Saying that the qualifying year for JSB claims made now is 2011.
