    Hey,

So Im able to stay on campus this year, but Im not sure if I should.

I live about 20 minutes away so I have always just commuted to Maynooth. I never really got to know anyone from Maynooth so I was thinking that it might be a chance to get the full experience.

Since Im a third year it might be a bit weird as all the other second and third years will already have their friends...

If you have one year left, why not! It might give you a bit of a chance to get the full experience you mention, which I would imagine you want! Make the most of it!

What do you expect for the full experience? 4000 grand in rent is an needlessly expensive experience in my opinion. There are clubs and societies even your course tutorials to get to know people in maynooth who share your interest rather than share an apartment with complete strangers who you might have nothing in common with and might not get on with.

Campus is great for first years in terms of getting to know people as everyone is in the same position but by third year everyone has an established their social circle and only main benefit is making early lectures and proximity to the library. But Given your only living 20 minutes away it seems rather pointless.
