Viber on iPod Touch with no mobile

    Hi,
    Got my daughter a iPod Touch and set up Viber on it. Problem is she doesn't have a mobile number.
    Thought I was being really clever by using her granny's number (she'll never have a smartphone) to get activation code, but then I started getting messages from her friends, etc.

    Was thinking of just buying a sim card for a few quid, using it to receive the activation number, then throwing it away.

    Would this work?
    Any other options?

    Cheers

    This should work;

    1. connect to WiFi from your iPad/iPod.
    2. download and install Viber app. when asked for your number, enter your regular cellphone's number, then confirm.
    3. an SMS message with the code will be sent to your regular cellular phone.
    4. take that code and use it in your iPad/iPod. Viber will then be activated, and you're good to go.

    Thanks, but my regular cellphone number is being used by viber already, on my device (my iPhone 4S)
    If I use that number from the iPod touch, Viber wont work on my iPhone anymore I think. And if someone tries to Viber me in the future, they will connect to ipod touch rather than my iPhone.
    Am I right?
