Hi all, After a month or so of no luck on the web I was wondering does anyone know of any shops in Dublin that will buy my guitars and amps? I'd like to get a fair price though:D Thanks in advance

Adverts.ie is usually the best, if its not moving its likely its overpriced

What type of guitar is it & what do you call a fair price for it

    Try donedeal also.

Hi guys have tried both those websites, its an epiphone special 2 for 100 euro, in good condition with strap and lead. But I would take down to 85 euro or is that too high, I have never sold before

But they're going for less than that on Adverts and Donedeal... That's your problem

Unfortunately for what its worth you would be better hanging on to it
It wouldnt be a very sought after guitar, probably why its not moving
I doubt any shops would buy it off you for more than €50 if your lucky

Shops would be very unlikely to take your guitar, I'm afraid. It would be very hard to turn around at a profit.

what you have to remember is that the shop needs to add VAT and their profit, and STILL offer a guarantee, which your Guntree seller doesn't.

realistically a "fair" price for the shop to buy your used guitar is about half what you'd get for it on ebay.

This is not directed to OP but it seems to me many selling think that a -10 or 20 % reduction on what they paid in an overpriced shop is enough to sell used. I have bought new many times for less or close to what some think their geer is worth.
