Cloud and saved phonebook

I am trying to update my phonebook, and every time I delete 25 numbers from my Iphone, the next day they are back again. I think its Icloud that is syncing and overwriting the changes every time. How do i fix this? Any help is appreciated.

I was drievn crazy by this, syncing with itunes resolved it for me.
